Courses in preparation

Beyond the two-part CWAP programme. No dates set yet — use the contact form if you would like to be notified.

Biblical Theology

The grand story of redemptive history.

  • Reading the whole Bible as a single story — creation, fall, Israel, Christ, new creation.
  • Old Testament patterns and promises fulfilled in Jesus.
  • The kingdom of God traced from Genesis to Revelation.

The Faith That Made Britain

Reclaiming British History from the Secular Mind.

  • How Christianity shaped British law, liberty, literature, and moral imagination.
  • Figures the secular story has forgotten — reformers, abolitionists, Bible translators.
  • Answering the modern claim that Britain’s past is only one of oppression.

Christian Doctrine

The historic Christian confession, taught plainly.

  • Trinity, incarnation, atonement, Scripture — the core confession.
  • Historic creeds and confessions as a living inheritance, not museum pieces.
  • How doctrine shapes prayer, worship, and daily life.

Frequently asked questions

Before you enrol

Format

Who is the course aimed at?

Christian believers, especially leaders; teenagers preparing for university; students at university. Anyone who wants to be challenged to obey the command of Jesus to love God with all their minds.

Are classes live?

Yes, every session is live. There are no recordings at this stage.

How many students are in each class?

Where possible, a maximum of 15. Because I run two Saturday options, there may be occasions when one class has 13 and the other 17.

How do you teach?

I use Google Meet and PowerPoint slides; at times I may show a short video. My classes are not a monologue — students ask questions and join in discussions. You will need a camera and microphone on your computer.

How do you communicate with students?

I use Google Classroom, where I post slides and other materials.

Participation

Is there homework?

I ask students to read a book that complements the class teaching (Greg Koukl’s The Story of Reality). On occasion, participants may be asked to read a passage, watch a video, or listen to a podcast.

Is there formal assessment?

No.

Payment

Can I pay in instalments?

This is not my preference, but if it helps you can set up a standing order of 4 × £25 payments to my bank account.

What if I really can’t afford to pay for the course?

Email me and we might come to an arrangement. I don’t want anyone to miss out on signing up through lack of funds.

Scheduling

Why don’t your courses sync with American semester dates?

Because I teach students from many countries, and I’m accustomed to the British academic year of September to May.
